I don’t have enough time or money to consider counseling
When considering counseling it is easy to convince yourself it's an unnecessary expense. You need to think of therapy as an investment into your success much like an education. A self-education if you will. People spend thousands of dollars on a college education and therapy requires much less time and money. When you begin to see the benefits you will realize that nobody can afford not to invest in therapy.
Therapists can’t understand what I'm going through
Surprise Me!! I have almost 20 years of experience with all walks of life. I welcome new stories but have a fundamental understanding of human limitations and abilities in order to help others manage anything.
Why can’t I just take medication?
Therapy has been proven to be longer lasting and more effective than medication. It gets at the root of the cause and works on prevention, unlike mainstream medicine that just uses medications to TEMPORARILY treat the symptoms.
Studies have proven that medication like all mainstream medical treatments will only treat the symptoms and not the underlying issue so that you will be pretty much right where you were when you finally come off the medications. Studies have proven that counseling is far more effective long-term and combined with medication can relieve some short-term symptoms.
How do I know you are the right therapist?
From my experience you will know pretty much right away in our initial visit.
Do you prescribe?
No, and in my experience medication can inhibit ones ability to access their emotions, so its not encouraged unless absolutely needed.
Can I even change? Is it possible?
Yes! Therapy is a collaborative effort to grow and change with the benefit of an experienced, objective relationship.
