Young Adults

College Students and young adults with demanding new jobs

Life is not easy for kids these days. Many young adults are living in the city, in small spaces with many roommates, away from home for the first time, single and adjusting to life on their own and newly found financial stress. Staying with a roommate, a job or even in an unsatisfying relationship out of financial fear or peer pressure is quite common and can lead to depression or anxiety. If stress is affecting your ability to engage with others or enjoy your day-to-day routine, counseling can help. My experience is in helping you find your voice and a path that allows you to be your authentic self and get on with life. Counseling with someone who can walk you through sadness, defeat, stress, and worry can help you identify ways to cope, and the emotions and fear that comes from independence. We will define your problem and develop an action plan using evidence based assessments and cognitive restructuring. Mom and dad are gone but there is no need to do this alone.
