About Leila

“Know Thyself” - Socrates

We all need it, that place to drop our stuff and repack. It takes strength and courage to face our fears and to find deeper self knowledge while reconfiguring the way we respond to the people and experiences in our lives. It is merely adaptation and adaptation builds resilience. I once read, “The most dangerous phrase in the english language is ‘we’ve always done it this way.’” My office and virtual office is an accepting, non-judgmental, very private, confidential space.

Trained in Addiction, Trauma and Relationship Therapy with adolescents and adults, my services include cutting edge Psychotherapy, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Modern Psychoanalysis and Mindfulness. My work is a logical, rational process of questioning and understanding the origins of your beliefs and how they can create joy or pain, and then guiding motivation as a way to ensure long term holistic healing with attention to the unique way you choose to live your life. Combining CBT with Modern Psychoanalysis, helps unravel present day patterns of behavior and symptoms. Our Mindfulness work will focus on healing and maintaining well being through understanding Mind/Body Interactions. We will develop the tools for a mindful self-practice of deep breathing and quietly questioning your own beliefs in order to live more authentically.

Testimonials

"I showed up as Leila instructed and the universe reciprocated"

"When I first met with Leila, I was at the lowest point in my life. I was literally one week sober from a lifetime of abusing alcohol and drugs. Leila patiently guided me through my childhood traumas. She showed me how to work through all of my feelings. She showed me how and why they affected me throughout my adult life. She gave me the tools and skills to be able to have a fullfilling life. Happy to say I am clean and sober for almost 9 years! I am not only surviving but thriving! Thanks to Leilas knowledge, and depth of understanding of what it is that makes us, us."

"My therapy has been tremendously beneficial to my mental health as well as my physical health. I have found a new perspective on my life and how to move with it. My self esteem is so much better and has room to grow. With the guidance from Leila I will reach that goal."
